Established in 1982, our client is well-known for its extensive global logistics and transportation network. They specialize in freight forwarding, chartering of barges, warehousing, transport of cargoes, and packing & crating services.
- Main contact for bulk shipping, building and maintaining relationships with shipping companies and handling quotations
- Conduct sales activities to secure new business opportunities from shippers
- Prepare quotations for import/export operations, develop new clients, and maintain relationships with existing clients
- Business trips to Japan and Southeast Asia for sales activities when required
- Other ad hoc projects/duties as assigned by the company
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in the logistics industry, shipping companies, or freight forwarders
- Practical experience in import/export operations and preparing quotations
- Proven track record in new business development and client relationship management
- Proficient in English and Japanese to liaise with Japanese speaking counterparts and customers
- Proactive in conducting outside sales visits
- Understanding of Japanese business etiquette and practices (experience in a Japanese company is a plus)
- Preferably experience in arranging conventional vessels and negotiating with shipping companies
- Knowledge and experience in bulk vessel business is a plus point

- Working location: 8-10 mins walking distance to Jurong East MRT
- Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
