Our client is a Japanese financial institution, established in 1878. They provide banking services such as deposits, loans, and exchange transactions.
Job Description
- Loan and Deposit Administrations. Ensure accurate entries into the accounting system.
- Assist the Corporate Banking team in monitoring for the timely receipt of legal documents and financial statements and safe-keeping.
- Loan, Deposit and Trade Payments and Settlements: Handle the drawdown, rate-fixing, repayment, prepayment, redemptions etc. of loans, deposits, and trade.
- Fund Transfers (inward and outward remittances)
- Prepare and reconcile swift messages.
- Customers’ Accounts (saving and FD): Assist in the opening / updating/closing of corporate banking customers’ accounts by ensuring accurate and prompt entries into the accounting system.
- Prepare the monthly statements to be vetted by Corporate Banking team before deliveries to customers.
- Handle inward and outward fund transactions.
- Attend to queries from customers/counterparties/internal teams (e.g. Corporate Banking, Middle Office, Compliance etc.) on remittances, savings and FD.
- Prepare regular reporting of operation data and filling the documentation.
- Prepare management reporting on operations.
- Other ad hoc duties as assigned by the company
Job Requirements
- Degree or equivalent academic qualification
- Having at least 2-3 years’ experience working in a bank in Singapore
- Experience in accounting operations
- Experience in banking loan settlements
- Has a basic understanding of SWIFT (international remittance system)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Accounting System
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate issues to manager
- Team player and has a good personality
