Job Description

- Development and adaptation of product lines for the Asian market and support this over the entire lifecycle.
- Perform design of electronics from conception to production, and in close collaboration with mechanical and Optical engineers to incorporate all requirements into the product design.
- Provide support of layout design as well as review of supplier’s design.
- Perform EMC testing and implementation of solutions to address interference to the design.
- Work with the Asian Procurement department(s) on new product’s bill of materials, on alternatives sourcing and its impact on product effectiveness, production yield, etc.
- Working closely together with colleagues in HQ R&D, in the Product Centers, in Industrial Engineering to develop functional specification documentation while considering the product requirements.
- Being responsible for:” Design for Asian Supply Chain.”
- Provide support to Supplier Quality Team in auditing of Asian EMS.
- Provide support to failure analysis request from Asian Service or Quality department.
- Responsible for Project Management – ensure all Asian Work Packages assigned meets the timeline, costs and quality commitment.
- Business travel to liaise with suppliers and factory visit.

Job Requirements

- Minimum 5 years of design and testing experience as electronics designer in R&D environment.
- Possesses at least Bachelor in Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience with PCB design and layout optimization.
- Solid understanding of signal processing, data acquisition, and noise reduction techniques.
- Experience with simulation tools such as SPICE for circuit analysis is a plus.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to sensor design and electronics.
- Strong project and time management skills.
- Possesses in-depth knowledge of electronics hardware trend for industrial automation products. Knowledge in optics, programming and mechanics will be an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of the leading suppliers, research institutions inside the optoelectronic and mechanic market scene will be a plus.

Compensation

- Working hours: Mon - Fri, 9am - 6pm
- Working location: International Business Park (Friday will be working from home)
- Annual leave: 14 days
