ClosedOur client is a "Japanese One-Stop Centre" which has been in Singapore for more than 30 years. It started as a wholesale business for Japanese restaurants and supermarkets. Currently having 4 branches in Singapore and well-known for its fresh sashimi which is directly imported from Japan.
- Involves in daily operations (such as opening, closing, preparing, and cooking).
- Supports Head Ched in guiding to junior kitchen staff members, including, but not limited to kitchen standards, line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating.
- Oversees and organizes kitchen stock and ingredients.
- Maintain a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verifies all food products are properly dated and organized for quality assurance.
- Keeps cooking stations stocked, especially before and during prime operation hours.
- Manages food and product ordering by keeping detailed records and minimizes waste, plus works with existing systems to improve waste reduction and manage budgetary concerns.
- Monitors all food preparation and presentation to ensure food quality and standards.
- To take on any other tasks as reasonably assigned by the direct reporting superior and/or company.
- Minimum 3 years of cooking experience in Western/ Italian cuisine
- Prior managerial experience in kitchen would be advantageous
- Able to commit to work overtime if required
- Able to work on weekends and Public Holidays
- Able to perform shift work
- Responsible and trustworthy
- Working hours: Sun - Thu (10am - 10pm), Fri & Sat (10am - 11pm)
- Work week: 5.5 days/ week

- Salary package: Basic + Fixed Allowance
