- Leads kitchen team in Head/Assistant Chef's absence.
- Provides guidance to junior kitchen staff members, including, but not limited to kitchen standards, line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating.
- Oversees and organizes kitchen stock and ingredients.
- Ensures a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verifies all food products are properly dated and organized for quality assurance.
- Keeps cooking stations stocked, especially before and during prime operation hours.
- Manages food and product ordering by keeping detailed records and minimises waste, plus works with existing systems to improve waste reduction and manage budgetary concerns.
- Supervises all food preparation and presentation to ensure food quality and standards.
- Works with Head/Assistant Chef to maintain kitchen organization, staff ability, and training opportunities.
- Verifies that food storage units all meet standards and are consistently well-managed.
- Assists Head/Assistant Chef with menu creation.
- Coordinates with management team on supply ordering, budget, and kitchen efficiency and staffing.
- Carry out coverage for other staff member and/or at another outlet operated by the company under the approval of the direct reporting superior.
- To take on any other tasks as reasonably assigned by the direct reporting superior and/or company.
- Possess 2 to 3 years of working experience in Japanese restaurant
- Able to commit to work overtime if required
- Able to work on weekends and Public Holidays
- Able to perform shift work

- Working days: 6 days/week (Off on Monday)
- Working hours: 45 hours/week
- Operation hours: between 10am - 9pm (breaktime between 3pm - 5pm)
