Job Description

- Supporting the Contracts team n reviewing, drafting and negotiating all commercial agreements which includes, inter alia, NDA, MOU, Sub-Contracts, Purchase Agreements, Construction Contracts etc
- Preparing contracts qualifications with regard to Tender/Project contracts in accordance with Company’s policies
- Identify potential risk and liabilities inherent in tenders and contracts, propose and negotiate amendments to minimize or mitigate the same, using judgement in balancing commercial/legal considerations against the requirements of the business, to secure conformity with Company’s acceptable contracting policies
- Where required, interface with law firms, finance, Sub-contracting, Procurement, Quantity Surveyors, Production Depts. as well as any other disciplines
- Supporting in managing contractual disputes/litigation in projects and preservation of the Company’s contractual position
- Performing legal research including relevant statutory laws, case laws etc
- Other ad hoc matters as assigned

Job Requirements

- Discipline, meticulous and have an eye for details
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision and delivery task assigned from time to time within tight deadlines
- Able to understand contractual language (including legal jargons), statutory interpretation etc
- MUST possess at least a Diploma in Law/Legal studies/Quantity Surveying/Construction management or similar qualifications
- At least 2 -3 years of experience working in law firm/in-house legal dept/Contract dept preferably in Oil and Gas Construction/Marine Construction sector
- Proficient in speaking, reading and writing English and Chinese to meet project needs
