Job Description

- Ensure development and implementation of standard policies and procedures for import and export operation of Eastern Cement Industries Ltd by following the Management instructions
- Develop and implement marketing and chartering strategies to provide integrated services that meet client requirements to provide sustainable growth for the organization
- Set effective plans for developing wide and good connections for negotiation with the ship brokers, broking agents and ship owners around the world in order to ensure the most cost effective shipping procedure
- Develop and implement voyage plans and chartering strategies by contributing details regarding the local and international maritime laws, infrastructures facilities and handling facilities of international ports
- Ensure effective ship chartering by using ideal shipping and transport methods, routs, scheduling and background checking of vessel owners around the world to meet the company parameters, specifications, costs and overall standards
- Responsible for developing and maintaining all chartering operations procedures such as making charter party details available to pre & post fixtures and masters; Instructing the Master of the vessel about fixture recap (excluding the costs) and chartering party terms
- Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport cost efficiency and also Maximize TCE (Time-Charter equivalent) earnings on fleet and Time-Charter in tonnage
- Ensure the fleet has as many tradable days as possible by working closely with the technical team
- Responsible for all coordination with agencies and operations regarding joint projects and also initiating enhancements to increase efficiency
- Ensure constant communication and regular reporting regarding actual positions of the vessels, freight markets, trends and analysis through the brokers and ship owners
- Ensure the space segmentation for maximum utilization of shipping space by planning and selecting appropriate quantity and optimization of avoidable expenses to contribute in overall profitability and economic shipping

Job Requirements

- Prefer Bachelor's Degree Graduate in any discipline. For experienced candidates, educational qualifications will be relaxed
- Minimum 10-12 years of relevant experience in Wholesales business or familiar with shipping line
- Experience in handling Cement raw material, stone chips export, local and international Maritime Law
- Well versed in market dynamics and sound business judgement of dry bulk items
- Proficient in International commercial and banking rules, regulations & terminologies
- Required knowledge of understanding on UCP 600
