Job Description

- Preparing standard and custom demonstrations for the Sales Account Executives and resellers
- Handling all pre-sales technical issues professionally and efficiently
- Maintaining in-depth knowledge of company products
- Maintaining a working knowledge of content repositories e.g. sample codes
- Acting as the first-line technical contact for the partners
- Meeting profitable sales growth targets in assigned product lines, partners, channel, and market areas.
- Pursuing additional business development opportunities within customers, partners and channels. Collaborates with Sales to ensure these opportunities are effectively covered
- Positioning against our competition by understanding the benefits of company solutions in relative to competitive solutions. This requires an understanding of competitive product and what is important to developers
- Maintaining communication with people at all levels internally as well as with customers/partners, ensuring the proper and current flow of technical information from and to the account
- Collaboration and delivering of technical training to partner/customer
- Responding to technical questions in RFI/P/Qs
- Sharing “Best Practices” with other SEs
- Providing feedback to Product Development regarding new features, improving product performance, and eliminating bugs in the product
- Preparing Company Professional Services for efficient installations – professionally managing the transition from pre-sales to post-sales

Job Requirements

- 5+ years experience supporting a solution sales team in the pre-sales technical role or comparable and/or 5+ years in IT solutions delivery
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, information technology or a related discipline, or equivalent years of experience
- Fluent English and Japanese to liaise with Japanese customers
- Professional presentation experience
- Business analysis at both the IT and LOB level
- Experience working with various partners/channel organization
- MFP embedded platform for Security, Web Services/Java, Print and Scan Programming: Experience with C++ and C#
- Web Scripting: Knowledge of XML, HTML, and Internet protocols and security
- Systems & Data Networking: Experience with scaling server hardware, LAN/WAN networking bandwidth calculations, Windows operating systems, SQL, virtualization, database clustering, Single sign on (SSO), application and server security
- Familiar with embedded hardware and software technology and architecture (processors, platforms, etc.), general embedded operating system knowledge (e.g. Windows, Linux)
