Job Description

- Review financial statements, production and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.
- Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures.
- Determine staffing requirements, and interview, hire and train new employees, or oversee those personnel processes. Checks manpower costing of each floor and try to keep manpower cost under control.
- Monitor businesses to ensure that they efficiently and effectively provide needed services while staying within budgetary limits.
- Coordination with marketing and merchandising team. Meets with sales team for future orders, present order status and product costing and to discuss capacity status of the factory. Takes decision to charge premium on ad hoc request with good margin.
- Handles production issues and when required directly contact to sales team for approval of variations.
- Production planning. To review material planning and machinery planning.
- To change technical setting of duct in order to reduce the making cost and production friendly samples.
- Attends pre-production meeting and ensure that important points are discussed at meeting.
- Follow up day to day production from each line and ensures that production units meet the production target.
- Follow up industrial engineering functions and systems.
- Ensures that factory produces quality product at minimum alteration and repair cost. Also quality goods are shipped to the buyers/ sales team.
- Ensure shipment dispatch with documentation and logistics department.
- Cost cutting is continuous goal to a Factory Manager. Looks into things possible ways where production cost can be minimized and goes for it.
- To motivate employees and enrich their knowledge in certain areas training program is arranged by him.
- Involve in hiring people to ensure that only right personnel are employed to the company.
- Taking care of workers personal and welfare activities.
- Ensure smooth flow of information and material from one department to another.
- Resolves inter-departmental issues if there is any.
- Perform ad hoc projects and duties as assigned from time to time

Job Requirements

- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business Management or equivalent.
- At least 8 – 10 years of experience in operation or management position.
- Experience in metal fabrication processes and metal production
- Highly resourceful and analytical.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-driven, proactive, problem solving skill with multi-tasking capabilities & strong business acumen.
