- Responsible for day to day supervision and assignment of hull related work in workshop and onboard vessel to meet project schedule budget, quality expectations and compliances
- Deploy and ensure effective utilization of manpower and material resources in the department
- Liaising with other departments on daily production schedule
- Identify training needs of staff reporting to the person
- Monitor job quality, progress, man hours and productivity of the assigned job
- Study and evaluate the work processes and methods of the department and explore new ideas to improve work quality and productivity
- Liaise with customer during witness/inspection
- Plan & execute to meet the project schedule and department budget
- Attend assigned project VSCC meeting
- Conduct RA assessment/BBS Observation/hazard reporting /Incident & Accident
- Participate in department safety work plan
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Marine & Offshore engineering
- 3 ‐ 5 years of working experience in marine or related industry
- Knowledge of different welding requirements/WPS/PQR and NDT methods
- Possess certifications in AWS, PCN, Welding Inspections and NDT Inspections
- Able to manage a team of 6-7, including Assistant Engineers, Supervisors and Technicians
- Able to interpret work packages, technical drawing and specification
- Physically fit to work in hot, humid and confined spaces.
